Nominations awaited for Confed's new team

Region-wise allocation for the post has been announced and nominations have started coming in from corresponding associations

CHENNAI: As the tenure of the current Confed-ITA office bearers finishes in a few months, the process of taking in new members on board has already started. Region-wise allocation for the post has been announced and nominations have started coming in from corresponding associations.

This time, the President would be elected from Salem, Erode or Namakkal; VP will be elected either from Dindugal or Madurai; secretary would be from Trichy, Karur, or Cholamandlam; while Treasurer will be chosen from Nagercoil, Thoothukudi or Thirunelveli. There will be two Joint Secretaries for the association, one will be elected from Coimbatore, Tiruppur or Niligri while, for the other position the member will be elected from Vellore, Puducherry, or Chennai.

Earlier, Confed-ITA summit was tentatively planned to be held between Dec 13 and 12 at Munnar, Kerala. Now, the summit is scheduled for February, as the term of current office bearers has been extended till March 2010.

The current Confed-ITA team includes PN Prasad of Puducherry as President, Balakrishnan of Erode as VP, Muthuswamy of Madurai as Secretary and Vinod from Trichy as Treasurer.
