CHENNAI, INDIA: Post the restructuring of its sales and marketing team in 2007-08, Chennai-based Mukesh Infoserve Pvt Ltd has launched a new division in order to restructure its go to market strategy. Earlier, Mukesh Infoserve consolidated its marketing team by identifying four broad solution verticals, which would cover all the insights needed for any business house, namely Brick Infrastructure (PCs, mobile computers, printing solutions power solutions, software licensing), Foundation Infrastructure (critical applications such as servers, storage and software, security), Connect Infrastructure (network-related infrastructure solutions ranging from LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, voice etc) and Managed Infrastructure (managing all resources using SAP and other business automation solutions, providing in-house service manpower etc). Now, it has appointed specialized Product Marketing Managers for all these four verticals to bring special focus to each vertical.
In addition, the company has launched a new team—pre-sales and implementation, which takes care of the complete technical activities (both pre-sales and post-sales activities) and supports the product managers, sales team and technical support team. "The new team has technology evangelists, who will take care of the technology completely starting from talking about the technology to complete structuring of the technology for any projects and support both the product team and the sales team in winning business," said B Mukund, CEO, Mukesh Infoserve.
Besides marketing activities, 2007-08 has been a year of a lot more technical developments in Mukesh, where the company has specialized in both open source and Microsoft technologies. Mukund claimed that it is necessary to have both in place for any total solution provider today.
Recently, the company has also tied up with Altair Engineering for the distribution and solution architecture of business intelligence solutions (BI). Altair Engineering has a business intelligent solution through its acquisition of a company called HiQube in Europe. Mukesh Infoserve has tied up with Altair for specialization in the business intelligence solutions and has started offering the solution by setting up POCs. "More than distribution, architecting the solution to the needs of the customer is what we are doing right now, as distribution in these kinds of solutions is generally a difficult task," Mukund claimed.
Apart from BI, Mukesh Infoserve has started the implementations of SAP B1 solutions to clients after completing in-house implementation of the same.
"Since our customer-centric business processes, sales management systems, business operational activities go through our ISO and SAP modules, which in turn assure our customers of our professional and timely services, our conviction in pitching these solutions with customers is very high," shared Mukund.
Implementation and R& D team, which has recently completed the walk-in demo center covering end-to-end IT solutions and a division for Consolidated Client Infrastructure has been the other recent development in the company. "The Consolidated Client Infrastructure will give the highest TCO and bring in great amount of mobility and manageability in the systems. We are working closely with HP in providing this solution to the customers," he said.
Mukesh Infoserve is also planning to strengthen its footprint in providing
DLP (Data Leakage Prevention) solutions and disaster management recovery with high availability, shared Mukund.
Mukesh Infoserve posted an impressive growth close to 84 percent during 2007-08 by posting revenue of Rs. 34 crore from Rs. 18.5 crore that it posted in the previous fiscal, and it has also expanded geographically to Madurai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Sriperambudur in the calendar year 2007. Mukund claims that the company would primarily concentrate on consolidating the business across the multi-location setup in 2008-09 and move towards extending its geographical reach.
