MADURAI, INDIA: Canon has appointed Madurai-based sub-distributor Asian Computers for its laser printers and copiers for Madurai and surrounding regions.

"We have recently tied up for the distribution of Canon laser printers and copiers for Madurai and neighboring regions including Tirunelveli, Nagercoil and Kanyakumari," informed G Jegannathan, CEO, Asian Computers. Asian computers have also been signed up for the Canon service center for Madurai region.

The sub-disti has plans to take Canon products through its existing base of 200 partners. "We have a strong base of channel partners, who are doing some excellent work for years.

We are rewarding them regularly with overseas trips through the amount we receive from the vendors on achieving targets," Jegannathan claimed. This time Asian Computers is taking around 15 partners to Dubai for three nights and four days.

For this fiscal, Jegannathan said that the company is looking at geographical expansion. "Currently we have an office in Madurai, but for this fiscal we are looking at expanding geographically. Currently we are looking at setting up one more branch in Madurai and two more outside Madurai," he shared.
