KATHMANDU, NEPAL: "When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves," said Anil Kumar, senior vice president, CIOL, while welcoming delegates at the C-Change 2009 event being held in the city.

He highlighted that the role of IT has changed since the C-Change event first started. "CIOs today are closer to the decision making process, and hence, much more is expected from them. We hope that networking, sessions, panel discussions during C-Change 2009 will help the CIOs to prepare better for the downturn," added Kumar.

Charting the history of the CIOL-Dataquest C-Change event, he said that the event was started way back in 2004 as an opportunity to mentor CIOs. Over

the years, the event has grown to become a major summit for top-notch CIOs.

This event is also a great opportunity for CIOs to network and discuss business opportunities.
