Every problem has a solution Khattar said the leader has to believe in himself and teams ability that they can formulate a solution to every problem and not leave problem unattended for long
"Most often we find an opportunity and immediately jump in, only to find lot of obstacles. The mantra is to find solutions.
Some people are able to see all problems. However, they sometimes stop abruptly. This is where a leader steps in - and gives direction.
Thinking solutions rather than thinking problems is more about belief, rather than skill. Unless you know what you want, you cannot achieve it," he added.

“What do customers want? We need to place ourselves in their shoes to find out. You should listen to your customers. It need not be in a grand market research, rather, in little conversations here and there. That's when you come to know what's happening on the ground.”
Sometimes their views can be offending too, but the skill of the leader rests in listening, the CEO added.

You should be listening to the customer as the feedback is sometimes tremendous."

"You've studied of lean manufacturing and lean supply chains. Look fit and energetic. Physical fitness is an important thing, and leaders must show this.
Be optimistic even in times of crisis "Always look at the glass as half full. My effort has been to look at some bright spot in an otherwise worse situation," he added while refereeing to the current uncertain environment.
He added that leaders should always believe in Japanese term 'Kaizan', which means, there is always a better way.
"Never be content with status quo as there is always a better way,” he added.
“At the end of the speech he called on CIOs not be averse to risk taking and always believe that that there is never a right time or right age for an opportunity
"My age never deterred me from following the right career or move. I do not like the word retire. I've become more confident and learnt from my mistakes. What better time to test my knowledge and desire.
“Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come. I strongly believe there's an opportunity knocking always. There's a way of opening the door of your mind," Khattar concluded.
