In its latest report, Facebook recorded a growth of total 45.32 percent in its monthly active users. With this, the social networking giant has reached the 1.22 billion mark out of which, India contributes with 94 million users, 72 million users being men.

A couple of days back there were reports that Facebook might lose its sheen in coming years but the recent earning report by Facebook does not agree to it. It is being speculated that the users would hop onto other various social networking platforms like Twitter, SnapChat, Instagram, etc., but right now we don't see that happening.

This is a massive growth of 118 percent as compared to the results from Q4 2011. Looking at the overall figures, the daily active users were reported as 757 million through web and 556 million users used their handsets to login Facebook.

On the revenue side, Facebook posted $2.59 billion for its Q4 2013, out of which 53 percent was derived from its mobile advertising. This growth has been recorded as 28 percent quarter-on-quarter increase from last year.
