MUMBAI, INDIA: Sify Technologies, a player in managed enterprise, network, IT and applications services in India with global delivery capabilities, reported revenue of Rs 3,715 million in Q2 2015-16, 18 percent hike over the same quarter last year.

While enterprises, government and PSUs pushed the growth trajectory further, it is the telecom, data center, cloud and managed services, application integration, technology integration and security and collaboration services that were the major contributors to the company’s significant growth.

Here’s a look at key customer acquisitions in these verticals.

Telecom: The telecom business signed 200 new clients and revenue from the data business and the Internet grew by 40 percent over the same quarter last year.

Sify won a WAN transformation project from a global auto-major and a large public sector insurance company in India.

Sify continues to see revenue growth in the e-commerce and logistics space as companies’ ramp up distribution in India to meet the demands of the shopping season.

Sify’s launched 6th global POP in Dubai and a network-to-network interconnect with a leading global telco to address the global data opportunity between India and the Middle East.

Data center services: Signed up 11 new customers and revenue grew 17 percent over the same quarter last year.

A mobile digital payment platform start-up and an existing player in IT outsourcing signed up Sify for storage services.

Sify signed a large contract with one of India’s largest nationalized banks to provide disaster recovery for its Internet banking initiative.

Large repeat orders came in from existing BFSI and e-commerce clients.

Cloud and managed services: Added 13 new customers; cloud and Managed Services revenue grew 86 percent compared to the same quarter last year.

A public sector power corporation signed up for a major private cloud transformation project.

Sify also signed up a large e-commerce as backend player.

The marketing and communication body for one of the largest insurance players in India signed up with Sify for DC transformation.

Other contracts include the community arm of one of India’s largest conglomerates, one of India’s largest online payment enabler, an aroma chemical player and multinational farming tools major.

Sify announced its strategic alliance with Fujitsu and began recognising its first revenues this quarter.

Applications integration services: Signed 10 new customers; AIS revenue recorded 9 percent growth over the same quarter last year.

Sify has secured its first SAP HANA infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) contract from a leading Indian cement company in eastern India.

Sify announced partnership with KRONOS, a leading global solution provider for Workforce Management Systems.

It signed three large talent management deals this quarter—one from a leading government agency and two from large institutions in India.

Technology integration services: TIS revenue grew by 3 percent over last quarter.

Engagements included setting up infrastructure services for a large public sector insurance company, large public sector oil major and several state government departments.

Security and collaboration services: Added 22 new clients across security, collaboration and network integration.

Won large contracts that include one from a public sector insurance company to supply and deploy DC & DR IT infrastructure and support for 5 years.
