"3G issue is almost resolved and we are going to move forward," the minister said on the sidelines of a conference here.

According to reports, some companies were asked to provide a compliance report on the security aspects of 3G services to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices have recently launched their 3G services, while Bharti Airtel said it will do so by the year-end.

3G services offer features such as video-calling, mobile TV, video streaming and applications access at superfast Internet speeds on a wide variety of both mobile phones and personal computing devices.
