2G scam: Chandolia gets bail

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Former personal secretary of A Raja, Ravindra Kumar Chandolia  finally got bail from the special trial court today. Justice Saini asked him to furnish a bond of Rs 3 lakh.

The CBI had opposed his bail plea alleging that his offence was grave. Chandolia, earlier stated that charges against him are baseless since he was merely obliging the minister’s orders.

He has been charged with section 120 B, 409, 468, 471 and 420 IPC in addition to various sections of IPC Act 1988.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court has reserved judgement on the bail plea of former telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura for tomorrow.
