Chako's handling of the 2G scam probe, giving clean chit to finance minister P Chidamabaram and PM Manmohan Singh, and the manner in which the draft report was leaked, has come under fire.

JPC members of the Opposition parties are expected to oppose the draft report during the next meeting scheduled on April 25. BJP has claimed that the 500-plust page reprt has been leaked as a deliberate attempt. The party wants action against those responsible for it.

BJP has also been irked at the charges leveled against its senior leader and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The draft report held NDA government responsible for causing a loss to the tune of Rs 42,000 crore to the national exchequer.
