2G: CBI plotting against me, says Raja

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Former telecom minister A Raja today told special judge O P Saini that witness Aseervaham Achary has been planted by the investigating agency, CBI, against him in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

Raja in the CBI court alleged that Achary could have raised a threat concern before and his cry in the court was just a ploy.

Raja's counsel Sushil Kumar said, Achary is a false witness and he's creating a drama in the courtroom.

Kumar also said that CBI's key witness is trying to influence the court.

There was a high drama in the court on Thursday when Achary told the court that he had a threat to his life and the person who had threatened him was sitting in the room.

Upon this, a man ran out of the court and but was immediately apprehended by the police. He was later identified as a Reliance office boy. He was taken to Tilak Marg Police station.
