BANGALORE, INDIA: The 12-12-12 mania seems to have gripped people across the world today. As a majority of people consider this day auspicious to buy goods, online retail websites are trying their best to cash-in on the 12-12-12 frenzy.

Google India has partnered with several popular Indian e-commerce sites such as Flipkart, Homeshop18, Cleartrip, Snapdeal, Yatra, Fashos, Allschoolstuff, Myntra, Groupon, Infibeam, Tradus and many more to bring special deals only for December 12, 2012 (12-12-12). Users can find pretty much everything they need on the Great Online Shopping Festival (www.gosf.in). However, these deals are open only for today.

Some of the attractive deals we came across are as follows:  Snapdeal is offering up to 50 per cent off on mobile phones and tablets, Babyoye is offering a flat 15 per cent discount on all their products, Mom&Me is offering a flat 15 per cent off on all products, flat 15 per cent off on gold, diamond and silver jewellery and flat 10 per cent off on Solitaires on 21 Diamonds, up to 80 per cent off on all categories on Naaptol and many more.

The website also gives reasons as to why consumers must shop online. Few e-commerce sites on GOSF also have the cash on delivery option. ”Apprehensive about entering your credit/debit card details online? For the extra cautious, there’s an option of cash on delivery. You buy the product online and pay only when it gets delivered,” says the GOSF website. Many online retailers are also offering ‘quick delivery’ options. Instead of waiting for a couple of days for the order to arrive, consumers can get their product within a day.

So, will you be shopping on GOSF today? Do you feel that shopping online is better than personally going to malls? Do let us know.
